OK, so the Larkin Brigade took a lazy four-month break from September to February.  However, they came back to rock the socks off of Boston at some of their best shows to date, and the band's upcoming dates promise to make up for the dearth of shows throughout the past winter.

In February, the Larkin Brigade were honored to be put on the lineup for one night of Darkbuster's now legendary 2nd Annual Hometown Throwup.

In early March, the boys tripped down to NYC to play a packed show, with fellow Boston rockers, the Sprained Ankles, at one of Manhattan's newest and best venues on the punk scene, Otto's Shrunken Head Tiki Bar and Lounge.  Chris Skel from celtic punk-rockers, the Skels, warmed up the crowd performing some of his his original tunes as well as some Skels' classics.  The Larkin Brigade were also glad to have him join them singing "Broken Heart In Every Empty Glass."

On March 17 (the day some of you may recognize as St. Patrick's Day), The Larkin Brigade were proud to put on their 3rd Annual Evacuation Day Extravaganza at the Middle East Upstairs in Cambridge.  The Hudson Falcons and Red Sails traveled up from NJ and NY, respectively, to help the crowd get their Evacuation on.
The wacky-wonderful Boston folk-punk duo The Crumb Sullivans opened up the night.

The Larkin Brigade are now directing their energy towards, and encouraging you to check out, their next two scheduled shows.

On April 15, 2008, dirty reggae & soul virtuosos the Aggrolites, from Los Angeles, will be playing the Middle East Downstairs with The Larkin Brigade opening up the night.  Don't you dare miss it!

On Friday, July 18, 2008, Darkbuster and The Larkin Brigade will join all of you and your friends on the Rock and Blues Cruise, a booze cruise sailing out of Boston Harbor.

It's looking to be a nice spring and summer.  Keep tuned in for future reports.

January 7, 2007

The next three months will find the Larkin Brigade (and hopefully you!) at some very exciting venues and playing some very eclectic shows.  In fact, this next run of shows definitely has something for everyone, including a few shows in CT and NYC.

January 12, 2007 we're playing at the Beachcomber in Quincy with Mike Barrett and Tom Tierney, some of the most unique singer/songwriters around.

January 19, 2007, we're playing the whole night at the Snug Pub in Hingham, MA.  We've been told that in this tight venue, Paulie Thunder will likely be sitting on Dennis's bass drum and Heavyset Joe's feet will be strategically dancing around Paddy Keys fingers on the keyboard.

For our fans in the Hartford area, we'll finally be playing two nights there the weekend of January 26-27.  Friday night we'll be at the Half Door and after painting the town in Hartford on Saturday, we'll be playing that night at Grady Tavern in Manchester.

In one week in February we'll be playing two shows, each organized by legendary bands Darkbuster and the Toasters.  First, on February 20, 2007, Darkbuster has graciously asked us to open for them at their Second Annual Hometown Throwup at the Abbey Lounge.  Make sure to get your tickets in advance and/or be there well before 9.  The following Friday we'll be playing Three Floors of Ska at the Knitting Factory in NYC.  We were very fortunate to get an opportunity to play with the Toasters in August and they liked us so much they arranged to have us play on the middle stage at this event, opening up for the Hub City Stompers, along with Bombtown, and Brunt of It.  The Skatalites are opening on the Main Stage!  We are psyched!!!

St. Patrick's Day weekend, we've got at least two gigs confirmed so far.  Friday, March 16, we'll be heading up to Portland, ME to play at Geno's Rock Club with our friends the Pubcrawlers.  Then on March 17 we'll be back in Boston hosting our Second Annual Evacuation Day Extravaganza, with the Allstonians and Bread and Roses!!  Last  year we had to turn people away at the door, so this year we chose the Middle East Upstairs for its larger capacity.  If you're coming in from out of town for Boston's St. Patrick's Day festivities, make sure to get your tickets in advance at Ticketmaster.  Or you can get them at the Middle East Box Office.

Finally, we'll be part of a great show at the Beachcomber in Quincy, on April 13th with our friend the Crumb Sullivans and with Girls, Guns, and Glory!

Also, look out for a possible show in New Orleans in July!

If none of these shows works for you, satisfy your Larkin Brigade craving by getting our debut album, Paddy Keys For Mayor, at CDbaby.com or from Spitshine Records.  Or to buy our seven-inch, contact the band or send an e-mail to this address.

See you at a show!

The Larkin Brigade anounce the release of their first music video.  Check out the movie at the Ketchabrick website.  Thanks to the Ketchabrick crew and all who helped make this happen.

The Larkin Brigade are also pleased to announce that you can now view pictures of The Larkin Brigade.  Check out this link.  It's a semi-lame Google based way of seeing pictures of us, but we're somewhat technically challenged, and plan to remain that way.  Deal with it.

Wow, what with the videos and the pictures, October is, like, visual media month for The Larkin Brigade.
